Here are some of our unique painted pieces.
I use a wide variety of paints; chalk paints, wood washes, acrylics, even artist’s oils, to create my finishes.
Approaching my pieces from an artist’s perspective, I like to use hand lining, faux gilding, marbling, and decorative painted or stencilled motifs, many of which I have designed and made myself.
All are sealed with up to five clear wax layers for a tough, practical finish.
I study each piece and take my time to decide what finish it really, really wants me to put on it! I often mix up my own colours and paint combinations to get just the effect I want.
Some of these unique accent pieces in the gallery below have gone to happy new homes now; but there are SO many abandoned or unloved pieces out there just waiting to be turned into unique, timeless treasures. So there will always be plenty more to see here.
